Over on NXT the round robin style tourny to crown the interim Cruiserweight Champion takes a strange turn when it becomes the story of Drake Maverick being released from the company - did his tearful response to "bloody Wednesday" and the outcry of support that followed help position him for a title? The Wrestlemania Stay-Home Show!
Like it or not, Wrestlemania is here, and as WWE delivers it's go-home shows there are definitely some attractions that insight more excitement than others. Taker threatens AJ with an "unholy trinity," Edge and Orton continue to deliver incredible promos, and there's no reason not to put Kofi Kingston in the Universal Title Match. The boys are talking all about what they're most looking forward to for what will surely be a mania to remember, whether NXT is still rising to the occasion, and what AEW is doing right with very little.
AEW vs WWE vs NXT vs COVID-19
Scott and Jake dive into the week as Wrestling in the age of Coronavirus continues. Every company is doing what they can to continue their shows with limited resources. Most people think WWE has royally dropped the ball and AEW has picked it up and ran, but with Wrestlemania just a week away will WWE rise the occasion? Talking NXT Takeover-the-course-of-the-next-couple-weeks, Broken Matt Hardy's new deity, Chris Jericho's thoughts on Vanguard 1, The Dirt Sheet, Bryan and Gulak, Randy Orton and much more --- note: this was recorded just a few minutes prior to the news that Roman Reigns won't be participating in Wrestlemania due to concerns about COVID-19.
No Audience, No Problem
In what is the first of surely many weeks of "Alternative" wrestling programming, both the WWE and AEW featured live shows with no audiences as well as alternatives to their traditional presentations in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Chamber Fallout & Coronavirus Fears
Talking all about this past weekend's Elimination Chamber PPV and it's fallout as the last stop on the Road to Wrestlemania. But the major question of the day is, will Wrestlemania even happen? The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the landscape of our very culture, and in an industry that relies heavily on a large crowd (that is just as much a part of the show as the performers), how does the world of Pro-Wrestling look in a time of global quarantine?
Revolution, Elimination Chamber, & COVIDmania!
Dale, Scott, and Jake are around to experience what life is like since the Revolution! Spoiler: it's pretty good. Small Disclaimer! -- We had a few digital connection issues with this weeks episode during recording that we didn't catch until we were done, you will hear skipping/speeding at moments (luckily not during Ken Anderson) - its not your podcast player, it's the file. We're very sorry. It's super annoying.
